Dyrehavsbakken (Bakken)
Tivoli's counterpart – an amusement park – enveloped in nature. Situated in the largest wood in the area – an Eldorado for children and adults alike. When you enter Dyrehaven, through Klampenborg's red main gate, the carriages are ready and waiting to drive you around Dyrehaven, past the royal hunting lodge Eremitage, which is situated on the highest point of Eremitagesletten.

Experimentarium
A wonderful museum, where "fiddle fingers" can learn about the human body, nature and technology through play.
Frilandsmuseet (open air museum)
An authentically reconstructed village consisting of farms, crofts and fishing cottages in authentic size and architecture. The oldest buildings date right back to the 16th century. In the summer, you can also experience the old working workshops.
Open: From the beginning of April until the end of September.

Boat trip
From Lyngby or Frederiksdal, a wonderful sailing trip along Mølleåen. Choose between Bagsværd Sø, Lyngby Sø and Furesøen. A short trip or a longer trip? The choice is yours.

Gentofte Sø
Is our closest neighbour and ideal for a brisk 2.5 km walk or jog.
Gentofte church
Situated 300 m from the hotel. Gentofte's oldest building from the 12th century and Denmark's second oldest church.
Bernstorffsparken
A real country estate surrounding Bernstorff Slot – the royal family's former summer residence with a beautiful rose garden.
Kildeskovshallen
Beautiful swimming hall with panorama windows. Two pools to choose from and a children's pool.

Royal Copenhagen Golf Club
Denmark's oldest golf course is a 10-minute drive from Gentofte Hotel. In May 1928, the existing course was established on Eremitagesletten. It was 30 years after Royal Copenhagen Golf Club was founded. Royal Copenhagen Golf Club is Scandinavia's oldest golf club, and is located in the middle of the Eremitagesletten, with the castle as a beautiful backdrop to the course.
